Transforming your life doesn't have to be overly complicated or tedious. Here are three simple ways to change your life starting today
1. What are you thinking? Pay attention to your thoughts. Research shows that an estimated 90% of our thoughts are exactly the same thoughts you had the day before. Repetitive thinking. Out of those 90% recurring thoughts, roughly 70% of them are negative. Our thoughts lead to choices. Our choices create the life we live. Our thoughts are the driving factor in the resulting quality and overall happiness of our lives. Pay attention to your thoughts and consciously create new thoughts that are positive and lead you to the life you dream of.
2. Who are these people? There's a saying that goes like this: "If you are the smartest person in the room... You are in the wrong room."
Surround yourself with people are already where you wish to be. Align with people who are happy, living their dreams, and are wise! Take a look at the people you hang out with. Do they constantly complain, drain, and blame? It's time to change rooms! With today's Social Networking platforms it is easier than ever to find people who can inspire, encourage, and elevate you to chart a new course for your life! Find them! Be brave enough to take a chance on a new experience of meeting positive and exciting people.
3. Lower the Volume. Have you ever eaten at a restaurant and the music was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with the people at your table? Well, life can do exactly that to us if we don't take the time to get quiet. We need quiet time to settle down our busy minds and to listen to what our hearts are desperately trying to tell us. I strongly recommend learning to meditate. The benefits of meditation are well documented and incredibly advantageous. If you aren't quite ready to start a meditation practice you may still enjoy the benefits of simply taking time to put down your phone and play with your dog, or take a walk, or watch the sunset, or listen to the wind in the trees. Disconnect from the technological world and tap into our natural world. It is a great way to settle down and become peaceful. It amazing what you can hear when it's quiet enough to listen.
